LIV Village is a South African orphanage that operates around cluster-type homes that produce an environment of culture, family and hope with God at the center.
We were approached to put together a campaign video to drive donations and bring awareness to the unique way of working with vulnerable children that LIV offers. Their model is a long process that can't be rushed and gives precise indications of a child's development. Rescue a child, Restore a life, Raise a leader, Release a Star. Our goal was to communicate that blanket model through one of their stars that was about to be released into the world. This is where we met Nqubeko, who was so willing to tell his story to encourage people that you can overcome you past and follow your dreams to change the world. He sadly lost his mom, who was a volunteer foster mom, when he was 12 years old after she had been diagnosed with cancer, while they were already living on the village. The LIV team made it a point to Nqubeko that he was welcome to stay on the village and that proved to be exactly what he needed to thrive. This is a story of hope, belonging and the ultimate love of God.
