Let your users sell for you
Theoretically, remove the overhead of a sales team. What would you do to make that happen?

I’ve got the answer and it’s quite simple. Let your users sell. Figure out how you can make that happen in your industry, and let your users sell for you. You’ll be a step ahead of your industry. Here’s one of my biggest learning from the book ShoeDog.

Phil Knight knew deep down that the strongest salesmen he could get were runners.

It didn’t matter what their profession was, he just needed people who understood the pain points, opportunities, and the needs of runners. Who better to do this than runners? So whatever you do, in whatever industry you’re in, find people who use the product or service that you’re trying to sell.

Because people trust like-minded people. They can speak the right language. They can sell without being a salesman.
